What is The Hub?
The Hub is exactly what Startupmatcher is, but with a Nordic presence, more jobs and talent to choose from, and better features for both recruiters and job seekers. Founded in Copenhagen in 2015 by Danske Bank and developed by Rainmaking, The Hub is the leading Nordic startup job board with 100 000+ monthly active users, 10 000+ registered startup companies and 300 000+ unique talent profiles. Just like Startupmatcher, The Hub exists to connect startups with startup-ready talent. While Startupmatcher has primarily focused on the Norwegian startup ecosystem, The Hub has been present in all Nordic countries. As of March 2023, more than 1 million applications have been submitted on The Hub, resulting in countless hires across the Nordic startup scene. Now that Startupmatcher and The Hub are merging into a single unified platform, we’ll be working hard to deliver best-in-breed user experiences for startup teams and talent, focusing on making sure that more and more people can find meaningful work at startups and scale-ups.
What will happen to Startupmatcher on March 1st?
Startupmatcher’s website will be shut down on March 1st. From that day onwards, Startupmatcher will continue to operate its startup job board on thehub.io. While you’ll experience a new look and feel, find us at a new domain and discover new additions to our product, our goal remains unchanged – to connect startups with amazing talent. As such, both startup teams and talent will still be able to use our services, but on a different platform. Our ambition for the service moving forward is greater then ever. As a user of The Hub, your chances of finding startup talent or a startup job will drastically increase.
What will happen to my startup profile and jobs on Startupamatcher?
As part of the merger between Startupmatcher and The Hub, all Norwegian startup profiles and jobs have been migrated over to The Hub. If you represent a Startup you’ll receive an email from us before the end of March, with a magic link that will allow you to claim your company profile and all associated jobs. Once claimed you’ll be able to manage your company profile, invite colleagues to collaborate, post jobs or use our integrations. Swedish, Danish and Finnish startups have unfortunately not been migrated. With that being said, all Nordic startups are able to use The Hub and its entire recruitment suite for free. Click here to create a startup profile and start hiring – it only takes a few minutes.
What will happen to my talent profile on Startupmatcher?
As part of the merger between Startupmatcher and The Hub, all talent profiles on Startupmatcher have been permanently deleted. With that being said, you do not need a talent profile to apply for jobs on The Hub. Notably, we encourage all Startupmatcher talents to create a talent profile so that you may set up highly customizable job notifications for the job opportunities that matter to you, follow companies that excite you and stay up to date on company & market trends. Will I be able to still post jobs for free on The Hub?
The Hub is designed with all types of startups in mind and as such our offering caters to both pre-seed and post-IPO startups. All startups have the opportunity to use The Hub and all its features completely free of charge, including BASIC job publishing. However, we also offer startup-friendly professional services to drastically increase your ability to hire on the platform. With the newly added PRO service, you’ll be able to unlock a powerful bundle of promotional features, generating 3x more qualified applicants for your job at only €449. Our most premium offering is the HEADHUNTER service, enabling job posters to unlock a dedicated recruiter working proactively to fill their job opening, The HEADHUNTER service comes with a guaranteed hire at only €2,499, making it the most cheap headhunter-like experience on the market.
Is The Hub open to all?
No. The Hub is an exclusive network reserved for Nordic startups and scale-ups, similarly to Startupmatcher. To be able to use the site you must be a registered business in the Nordics with a working website. You must recruit on behalf of the company that you are working for – no recruitment agencies allowed. The Hub’s recruitment services are purely for startups and scale-ups and our customer success team will review every single company that registers to ensure that they can in fact be defined as a startup or a scale-up. We do not have a strict definition that we follow, but typically your company needs to meet three or more of the following four requirements;
- The company was founded after year 2000
- The company intends to grow through the means of external investors
- The company’s core business is scalable purely or partially through software
- The company is innovative, challenging the status quo within its market
Why will my startup benefit from joining The Hub?
The Hub is visited by 120,000+ monthly active job seekers and is the home to 350,000+ unique talent profiles, making The Hub the largest European talent database of startup-ready tech talent. The Hub has 7x more website traffic when compared to Startupmatcher and almost 3x more qualified applicants per job.
In addition to our core audience, when you post a job on The Hub, we automatically promote via a variety of different channels like e-mails, social media and partner job boards such as LinkedIn, Jobindex, NAV, Graduateland, Duunitori, Indeed, Careerland, Jobsinnetwork, Find-Job-Abroad, The Local, Neuvoo, Jooble and many more.

We’re currently not recruiting, should we still have a profile?
Yes. Talent are constantly scouting The Hub to find the perfect company to work for. All companies on The Hub can be discovered based on markets, company stage/size, culture, location and more. If you want to be on their rada you’ll need a profile, and as soon as your hiring needs occur you’ll be ready to post jobs with just a few clicks.
We use an ATS. Can we still use The Hub?
Yes. We currently support integrations with Teamtailor, Workable, Greengarden and Lever, but are adding more systems to our roster every quarter. To connect your ATS, head over to ‘startup settings’ to explore specific guides on each ATS. Once connected, you will be able to automatically post your active ATS jobs directly to The Hub. All applicants applying via The Hub will be directly forwarded to your careers site (ATS) so that you can manage all applicants in one place. Are you using an ATS that we currently don’t support?
