The BMW M4 GTS (F82) is the track-focused version of the BMW M4 Coupé, and the successor of the BMW M3 GTS (E92).

Description

[

]

BMW introduced the M4 GTS concept in August 2015 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. In 2016, BMW released the production version of the car which was a track-focused version of the standard M4 coupé itself with a limited production run of 700 units and a price tag of $133,205. It is powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight-six engine as in the normal M4, but the power has been raised to 368 kW (500 PS; 493 hp), largely due to a novel water injection system that is the first to be used on a production automobile in almost twenty years.
In addition to the increased engine power, the M4 GTS is 27 kg (60 lb) lighter than the standard M4 Coupé with the DCT transmission, so the weight now stands at 1,585 kg (3,494 lb). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time is reduced to just 3.8 seconds, while the top speed stands at 305 km/h (190 mph).
The M4 GTS has, according to BMW, lapped the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife track in 7 minutes and 28 seconds, 24 seconds faster than the base M4 and 20 seconds faster than the M3 GTS. This equates to the same time as a Porsche Carrera GT.

Performance

[

]

The BMW M4 GTS has a high top speed and other average stats. It will perform better on top speed oriented tracks like The Himalayas or New York, where it can maintain speed more easily. However, it is not fast enough to compete with the high-end Class C cars; namely, the Arrinera Hussarya and Vencer Sarthe, with both being significantly faster than the M4.

The M4 can perform decently in multiplayer, especially Slipstream Mode, as it can beat most Class C cars but it is still inferior to the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

The BMW M4 GTS was added in the 2020 Halloween Update as a high Class B car with the following rank statistics:

Performance

[

]

As a Festival car, the M4 GTS has very poor performance in respect to its rank until it reaches the full-PRO upgrade level.

At stock, it has a lackluster top speed and acceleration, great handling that is drastically hampered when nitro is on, and a mediocre drifting radius and nitro efficiency.

With the reshuffling of the Audi R8 e-tron Special Edition and Infiniti Project Black S Special Edition into Class D with the 2021 Summer Update and Eighth Anniversary Update, the M4 GTS now stands as the best overall Class B car. The M4’s acceleration is comparable to the Jaguar XKR-S GT’s but with the benefit of a higher top speed. While the SCG 003S, McLaren MP4/8, and Suzuki Hayabusa have better nitro efficiency, all have some form of disadvantage (the SCG has a wide drifting radius, the MP4/8 has a lower top speed, and the Hayabusa has motorcycle physics) and the other cars either have no advantage over the M4, have worse acceleration that negates a higher top speed (the Zenvo ST1, Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640, and McLaren 650S GT3), or are prohibitively expensive (the Onuk Sazan LM, Porsche 911 GT1 Evolution, and Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo).
