Tidal Wave (2009)
The first time I attempted Tidal Wave, I barely made it out of the introductory tragedy. There were aspects of the dialogue, performances, and cutting points that just didn’t gel with me. A second effort almost ended the same way, but I stuck it out – and am glad I did.
Frequently credited as South Korea’s first disaster film, Tidal Wave / Haeundae (2009), builds up to a tsunami but feels more like a light romantic comedy.
