Reddit – Dive into anything
Original: Think about it, he can move really fast, and likes to play pretend. This also explains the similar voices of characters: He can’t keep up too many voices!
Also, he says that everyone has at least one persona they don’t recognize, so what if there’s more? Also, it’s been shown that his personas can develop their own lives(Sidney) that he’s not aware of.
Oh, and he’s been shown to move and change outfits to talk with himself before.
More evidence: In the episode where Haley starts working as his intern, she shows his same ability to choose outfits quickly and come up with a decent backstory in a few seconds, as well as changing in less than five seconds.
He never gets into serious trouble, and when he does he finds an exploitable way to get out of it. Like in the episode where he gets sent to prison, he’s finally in trouble, so he gives his bus driver persona a bad habit of laughing, so he uses it to crash the bus and make it out relatively unscathed. Also, when he wrecks the first police car, a convenient cop pulls up and falls for the same trick.
It’s also why some of the voices change to better match the character, when the show first started he didn’t know exactly how to portray them, and since he was just beginning his acting career, he didn’t get the voices or the personalities exactly how he wanted them; but as he got more experience he felt better at characterizing them, so he gave them more depth and slowly introduced more characters, like Reggie, when he was first introduced he had a dramatically different personality and voice, even though Roger had gotten comfortable with all the other characters.
It also explains why he feels no remorse when fucking over someone else, he knows on some level that it’s just a character. Do you think George R.R. Martin feels bad about ruining a characters life?
