How to type the Apple logo () on iPhone or iPad | Macworld
When discussing the
Apple Watch and its Apple Pay service, and occasionally the Apple TV, the company shortens the ‘Apple’ part of the name to a single character: its corporate logo (). Like this:
It’s easy to do the same if you’re on a Mac, by using the keyboard shortcut Shift + Alt + K. (Here’s a list of other
Mac keyboard shortcuts you should know.) But you can’t do this if you’re typing on an iPhone or iPad. Here’s what you have to do instead.
On a Mac, open your email client of choice and compose an email to yourself, with the logo in the body copy. Send it off.
Now open the Mail app on your iDevice and open the email from yourself, then select and copy the Apple logo (tap and hold on it for a moment until a small menu pops up, then tap Copy).

Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement, and tap the plus sign at top right to create a new shortcut. Tap and hold in the Phrase field until the menu pops up and tap Paste to drop in the special character.
Enter a trigger into the Shortcut field: preferably something you won’t ever want to type for itself, such as “aapl”. Tap Save at the top right and from now on, whenever you type the shortcut, it will be converted into the Apple logo character or the logo will be offered in the QuickType suggestions.
