A Hogwarts Express ticket[3] was a ticket provided to all who were attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the first time. It provided important details, such as the date and time that the Hogwarts Express departed from King’s Cross Station: 1 September at 11 A.M.[2]
History
Rubeus Hagrid provided Harry Potter with one of these just before Harry caught the train that would take him back to the Dursleys.[2]
Later, when Harry explained to Vernon Dursley that he needed to get to Platform Nine and Three-Quarters and Vernon replied that there was no such thing, Harry stated that it was on his ticket.[2]
When Albus Dumbledore visited Tom Riddle at Wool’s Orphanage as his special messenger, he provided him with an envelope that included, amongst other things, his Hogwarts Express ticket.[4]
