Sister Location is unique in that it has the impression of being more of a guided experience. Earlier games had a sort of plot guide that would drop tidbits here and there, but this time, you get conversation and directions over the course of your first couple of nights. I didn’t feel completely bewildered when playing, because the game genuinely explained how the mechanics worked in general. Do not interpret this as implying that Sister Location is simpler; I still passed away the first several nights. I simply wasn’t fully ignorant of the cause.
