Five Nights at Freddy’s 6 has appeared on Steam in the guise of a free-to-play arcade game
It would seem Five Nights at Freddy’s wasn’t cancelled after all. Despite announcing that the series had reached its end back in July, its creator Scott Cawthon has released a new, free-to-play game on Steam.

At first glance, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator has very little in common with the jump-scare-laden games that the series found fame with. The Steam page currently shows off an 8-bit arcade game in which the series mascot, Freddie Fazbear himself, throws pizzas towards smiling children.
It is, of course, a front, and it doesn’t take very long before things get sinister and the unsettling mechanical mascots return. The game evolves quickly, putting you in charge of your very own Freddy Fazbear’s franchise, and it’s just as dystopic as you’d expect. You can watch a Let’s Play courtesy of Markiplier above, although, obviously, that comes with a spoiler warning.
A look at the subreddit (which is also extremely spoiler-heavy this morning) suggests that this could be some sort of epilogue for the FNAF series, although given Cawthon’s previous misdirection it’s very possible this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Freddy Fazbear.
