What’s the price of the new Mitsubishi Xpander?
The locally-assembled (CKD) in Pekan Mitsubishi Xpander is now open for booking in Philippiness and as usual with all new cars, we have the complete run down for you right here. Let’s go!
Part of what makes the Xpander spacious is its size – it’s bigger than its closest rivals, the Honda BR-V and the Aruz. Having the longest wheelbase also helps in creating more head and legroom inside.
Ground clearance is a generous 205 mm, which should make braving flash floods not much of a problem.
How many variants are available?
It’s an uncomplicated affair – only one variant is offered. One variant with everything you need in a people mover, especially a comfortable ride and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay to entertain your guests filling in the car’s seven seats.
What’s cool about the exterior?
Since we get the facelifted variant, our Xpander features a revised ‘Dynamic Shield’ front fascia that features Bi-LED headlamps, slighty modified front grille…
…and neat touches such as a shark fin antenna, 16-inch wheels and L-shaped LED combination tail lights.
What about the interior?
Going inside, there’s a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also 6-speakers for your to entertain passengers with.
It’s fairly roomy for rear seat occupants.

It’s got the 4A91, a 1.5-litre, naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine making 105 PS and 141 Nm, paired to a four-speed automatic. This engine is closely related to the one in the Mitsubishi Colt, but updated to fit current market requirements.

This is how the Xpander’s powertrain compares to its closest rivals. It sits in the midlde of the pack in terms of power-to-weight ratio (Honda BR-V – 94.6 PS-per-tonne, Xpander – 84 PS-per-tonne – 77.9 PS-per-tonne).
