A more enjoyable drive: the ST X coilover suspension
The ST X is available for every BMW 3-series E90 series with part certificates
For those who find the search for the ideal coilover suspension far too complicated and simply look for a German-made coilover suspension for their BMW, they lose their interest quite quickly. Why complicate matters when the question of a road-legal coilover suspension for the BMW 3-series Sedan (E90), the BMW 3-series Touring (E91), the BMW 3-series Coupé (E92) and BMW 3-series Convertible (E93) is so simple? Our solution for everyday use is the ST X coilover suspension. We manufacture it in Germany directly at KW automotive for all BMW 3-series.
The BMW 3-series of the E9x generation is and remains as the most beautiful BMW for many enthusiasts. It makes no difference whether it is a BMW 3-series convertible, coupé, sedan, or even a wagon. An E90, an E91, an E92 or E93 is and remains simply timeless. A BMW E90 then simply needs only nice rims and an appealing lowering, so to speak. And this is where our ST X coilover suspension comes in. Within the scope of the parts appraisal, you can lower the BMW 3-series up to a maximum of 60 millimeters. It simply doesn’t get any lower than with an ST X coilover suspension built at KW automotive or you need to modify the fenders, links, and more on the chassis.
Many people always forget that our ST X coilovers are manufactured at KW automotive in Fichtenberg (Germany). If you order your ST X coilover suspension for the BMW E90, BMW E91, BMW E92, or BMW E93 directly from ST suspensions or the dealer of your choice, we will start with the production. You order and we build. That’s why you can even choose which color you want your ST suspension springs to be thanks to the ST customization program on our ST X coilover suspension.
It’s just that easy. Just click on the customization button on our homepage and you can have your ST suspension springs coated in one of 18 different RAL colors. The ST X coilover suspension has of course a parts certificate and due to the ST customization, it is even possible to have the springs labeled with a word or text up to 25 characters long. By the way, you can lower the BMW 3-series Sedan (E90) by 30 – 60 millimeters on the front axle and 25 – 55 millimeters on the drive axle. On the BMW E91 Touring and the BMW E93 Convertible, the front axle can also be lowered continuously by 30 – 60 millimeters. On the rear axle, on the other hand, it looks somewhat different and no more than 25 – 55 millimeters are possible.
For the BMW 3-series Coupé (E92) there is the ST X coilover suspension, as already mentioned, but it looks a little different in terms of the scope for continuous adjustable lowering. The BMW 3-series Coupé can be lowered on the front axle by 20 – 50 millimeters. On the rear axle, the adjustment range is 15 – 45 millimeters.
Hard to believe, but we at ST suspensions are also one of the few suspension brands that offer a coilover suspension with part certificates for all BMW E90, BMW E91, BMW E92, and BMW E93 ordered with the optional BMW xDrive all-wheel drive. We have also developed the ST X coilover suspension, which incidentally has a sporty, harmonious damper setup, for the BMW xDrive models. For example, the BMW 3-series Coupé with BMW xDrive, the BMW 3-series Touring with xDrive and the BMW 3-series Sedan with xDrive on the front axle can be lowered continuously from 15 – 45 millimeters and the rear axle from 15 – 40 millimeters.
Before you order your ST X coilover suspension, we just want to tell you briefly how a BMW 3-series drives with the ST X coilover suspension. When developing and tuning the ST X coilover suspension, we decided on a sporty driving profile for the BMW E90, E91, E92, and E93. You want to emphasize the proverbial sheer driving pleasure of your BMW even more. The ST X coilover suspension gives your BMW 3-series a significantly sportier handling in all situations. With the ST X coilover suspension, your BMW will really get you in the mood for fast corners. But don’t panic, even though the BMW 3-series is now much more agile on the road, a noticeable residual driving comfort remains.
