rom finding budget-friendly meals to bulk cook and looking at energy-efficient appliances to cut bills, Britain is in full-on thrifty mode.

While it may seem counterproductive to spend money right now, sales offer the perfect opportunity to bag products you need at a much lower cost, saving you money in the long run.

Amazon has long been the go-to destination for some of the cheapest prices on the internet with speedy delivery – often next day if you happen to be a Prime member. Luckily the retailer has a new sale that’s open to all – no need for Prime membership – called the Amazon Spring Sale.

What is Amazon’s Spring Sale?

A special event offering discounts for a limited period.

When is the Amazon Spring Sale 2023?

Right now! It began at 6pm on Monday, March 27 and will finish up on March 29, just before midnight.

What is the difference between the Amazon Spring Sale and Amazon’s Prime Day?

As mentioned, you do not need to be a Prime member to get the discounts in Amazon’s upcoming sale, where there will be mega savings of up to 80 per cent off.

Meanwhile, Amazon Prime Day is the retailer’s flagship sales event which normally spans a 48 hour period. During this time, and for Prime membership holders only, prices fall across the board from home and garden, tech, food and drink, beauty and more. It’s not just in the UK either; Amazon Prime Day is a global affair, taking place across the world.

What kind of deals can we expect?

Whether you’re in need of a new washing machine, TV, microwave, fridge freezer or just want a cheap thrill to make post exciting, epic deals are on the horizon.

While sales slash prices across the board, historically the best deals and discounts are on Amazon’s huge portfolio of tech devices. Everything from Fire TV streaming sticks, Fire tablets, Ring video doorbells, Kindles, Echoes and more were treated to sensationally lower prices in past sales and it’s very likely we can expect the same – if not better – in this seasonal sale too.

How to find the best deals in the Spring Sale

When the sale kicks off, there’s only one place you’ll want to be: ES Best.

We’ve seen our fair share of sales in the past and when there’s a genuinely good deal, we’ll shout about it from the digital rooftops to our readers. We run a live blog for every Amazon Prime Day as well as Black Friday sales in November (this year Black Friday is on November 24 – 27) and will do the same for Amazon’s Spring Sale. Stay tuned by bookmarking our homepage and checking back regularly for more info.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2023? Is it still happening?

Yes, Amazon’s mega sale is still on. We don’t have the exact dates, but tradition dictates it will take place in July. However, while you don’t have to be a Prime member to join in the Spring Sale, in order to take advantage of the stupendously low offers on Amazon Prime Day, you have to be a Prime member. It’s rather obvious, really.

Is Prime membership worth it?

It’s not just sales and Prime delivery: membership unlocks worlds of music, streaming, books, gaming and entertainment. Prepare to lose quite a few hours lost in the wonder of the Amazon universe. The best news is that you can trial all the services on offer risk free with a free 30-day test run.

UK membership costs £8.99 a month or you can choose to pay it annually at £95 for the year. For students, it’s £4.49 per month or £47.49 yearly.
