Several businesses and services offer discounts exclusive to students to help make school life a little more affordable. Apple Music is one of those, and it offers a special rate for those who can verify their enrollment status.

Rather than the normal $10 monthly fee, students can get Apple Music for only $6 a month. And for a limited time, memberships also include free Apple TV Plus and a pair of Beats Flex headphones. It’s a sweet deal worth grabbing while you can, and eligible users can take advantage of it for up to four years. Here’s how to sign up for the plan.

Apple Music Student Monthly Subscription

The Apple Music Student Plan costs $6 a month. For a limited time, the plan also includes free access to Apple TV Plus. If you sign up through Unidays, you can snag a pair of Beats Flex headphones as well.

How to get an Apple Music student subscription

In order to sign up for an Apple Music student subscription with a pair of free Beats Flex headphones and a complementary Apple TV Plus membership, you should subscribe through the Unidays website. Here’s how:

  1. Visit the Unidays Apple Music page.
  2. Click “Get Now” under the limited-time Beats Flex offer.
  3. Create a Unidays account and follow the steps to verify your student enrollment.
  4. Complete your Apple Music signup when redirected.

You can also subscribe to Apple Music’s student plan directly through Apple, but the company’s site makes no mention of the free headphones. With that in mind, we recommend starting the process through Unidays to get the best offer. However, if you still prefer to subscribe through Apple, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the Apple Music app, iTunes, or Apple website.
  2. Click “Listen Now,” and select the trial offer.
  3. Choose the student plan.
  4. You’ll be redirected to the Unidays website, where you’ll verify your enrollment.
  5. Sign in with your Apple ID, or create a new one.
  6. Add a payment method.
  7. Click “Join.”

How to get Apple TV Plus with Apple Music student

How to get a free pair of Beats Flex with an Apple Music student subscription

For a limited time, Apple is throwing in a free pair of Beats Flex headphones with Apple Music student subscriptions. To get your free pair, click “Get Now” under the limited-time Beats Flex offer on the Unidays website. Then follow the instructions to verify your enrollment and sign up.

How does Apple verify student status?

Apple uses Unidays, a popular student enrollment verification site, to check your enrollment status. Unidays first asks for some personal information before letting you choose between using your school email address or school learning portal to verify your status. Here’s the information it will ask for:

  • First and last name
  • School name
  • Year of study
  • Course length

How to reverify your student status

Every 12 months, Apple will reach out to reverify your student status before renewing your Apple Music student subscription. It’s the same process as signing up; you’ll have to go through Unidays to check your enrollment status, either through your school email address or school’s learning portal.

Who is eligible for Apple Music’s student subscription?

For US residents, you need to be a college or university student studying a bachelor degree, post-graduate degree, or equivalent higher education course. Canadian residents can qualify for the student subscription by being enrolled in post-secondary school. Apple Music listeners in Japan are also eligible for the discount when enrolled in junior, technical colleges, and special courses.

Can I keep using Apple Music’s student subscription after graduating?

If you graduate in the middle of your Apple Music student subscription, you can keep it until your renewal date arrives. If you’re unable to verify your enrollment status at that time due to graduation, you’ll no longer be eligible for the discounted student rate with free Apple TV Plus.

Also note that users can only take advantage of the plan for four years maximum before being moved back to the normal individual Apple Music plan.
