Jason Biggs as Jim Levenstein

Shortly after he nabbed his starring role as a nerdy teen chasing sex, Jason Biggs starred in another teen rom-com, 2000’s Loser. He went on to act in many more romantic comedies, including Saving Silverman (2001), Wedding Days (2006) and My Best Friend’s Girl (2008). On television, Biggs starred on the CBS series Mad Love, joined Orange Is the New Black as Piper’s fiancé, and starred on the Fox sitcom Outmatched. He was even able to embrace his teenage side again as the voice of Leonardo on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for two seasons. Biggs also contributed poetry to multiple anthologies of creative writing.
After American Pie, Biggs reprised his role as Jim Levenstein in American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding (2003) and American Reunion (2012).
He is married to writer and actress Jenny Mollen, with whom he has two sons.

Chris Klein as Chris “Oz” Ostreicher

Chris Klein continued making romantic movies after he played a lacrosse player who joined the choir to find a girlfriend in American Pie, including the drama Here On Earth (2000) and the comedy Say It Ain’t So (2001). He also returned to political films (after his first role in 1999’s Election), including We Were Soldiers (2002) and American Dreamz (2006). On TV, Klein had a recurring role on FX’s Wilfred, starred as Cicada on season 5 of The CW’s The Flash and appeared on Netflix’s drama series Sweet Magnolias.
Klein returned to the American Pie franchise as Chris Ostreicher in American Pie 2. After not appearing in American Wedding, he returned for American Reunion.
In 2010, Klein entered treatment for alcohol addiction and served 96 hours in jail for DUI charges. In 2015, he married travel agent Laina Rose Thyfault; together they have two children.

Thomas Ian Nicholas as Kevin Myers

After playing a high schooler hoping to lose his virginity to his girlfriend in American Pie, Thomas Ian Nicholas joined the Halloween franchise for Halloween: Resurrection (2002) and the National Lampoon franchise for National Lampoon Presents: Cattle Call (2006). He also played Frank Sinatra Jr. in the acclaimed TV movie Stealing Sinatra (2003). His other films have included Walt Before Mickey (2015), in which he played Walt Disney, and Adverse (2021) and he appeared in recurring roles on the TV shows Party of Five and Red Band Society.
In 2008, he began releasing music with the album Without Warning, and one of his subsequent songs appeared on the soundtrack for American Reunion.
Nicholas revisited his character, Kevin Myers, for American Pie 2, American Wedding and American Reunion.
He has two children with his wife, Colette Marino. The couple separated in 2019 and Marino filed for divorce in 2022.

Eddie Kaye Thomas as Paul Finch

After Eddie Kaye Thomas starred as a preppy boy spreading rumors of his sexual ability in American Pie, he took on another comedy film series, playing Andy Rosenberg in the Harold & Kumar movies starting in 2004. Thomas has appeared in other films, including Freddy Got Fingered (2001) and Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist (2008). He starred on the Fox sitcom ‘Til Death as Jeff Woodcock and the ABC action series Scorpion as Toby Curtis and has had a longtime recurring role as the voice of Barry Robinson on American Dad!
He reprised his character of Paul Finch in American Pie 2, American Wedding and American Reunion.

Seann William Scott as Steve Stifler

Seann William Scott continued with a run of comedies after playing the only non-virgin of the American Pie friend group, including Dude, Where’s My Car? (2000), The Dukes of Hazzard (2005), Mr. Woodcock (2007), Role Models (2008) and the Goon movies. He has provided the voice of Crash in the Ice Age animated film series and television spin-offs. Scott played Wesley Cole on the third season of the cop series Lethal Weapon until Fox canceled the show and later starred on the network’s Welcome to Flatch.
Since American Pie, Scott returned to the role of Steve Stifler in American Pie 2, American Wedding and American Reunion.
In 2011, he entered treatment for “health and personal issues,” checking out later that year. In late 2019, he married interior designer Olivia Korenberg.

Tara Reid as Vicky Lathum

Before she played Kevin’s girlfriend in American Pie, Tara Reid had already logged roles in other iconic ’90s films including The Big Lebowski (1998) and Cruel Intentions (1999). She continued into the 2000s, starring in the films Josie and the Pussycats (2001) and National Lampoon’s Van Wilder (2002) and playing the recurring character Danni Sullivan on Scrubs. Reid hosted the reality series Taradise from 2005–06 and competed on season 8 of Celebrity Big Brother in the UK in 2011. She joined another comedy film series in 2013, starring in all six of the Sharknado movies. Reid has faced several personal and career ups and downs.
Reid reprised her role as Vicky Lathum in American Pie 2 and American Reunion.

Natasha Lyonne as Jessica

Not long after she spread rumors about Finch in teen comedy American Pie, Natasha Lyonne had a role in Party Monster (2003) alongside Macaulay Culkin. She starred in a run of horror films including Madhouse (2004) and All About Evil (2010), in addition to comedies, before landing a main cast role as Nicky Nichols in Orange Is the New Black in 2013. Lyonne began producing, directing, writing and starring in another Netflix series, Russian Doll, in 2019 (resulting in both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations), and appeared in Jon Stewart’s 2020 film Irresistible. In early 2023, she began starring in another streaming series that she produced, Poker Face, on Peacock.
Lyonne returned to American Pie for American Pie 2 and American Reunion.
The actress faced a rough patch in 2008 and was hospitalized for five months as a result of opiates usage and self-destructive behavior. She has since kept her private life quieter, though she publicly dated fellow actor Fred Armisen from 2014 to 2021.

Jennifer Coolidge as Jeanine Stifler

Jennifer Coolidge continued to work with the iconic L.A. comedy group The Groundlings, alongside others such as Rachael Harris, for a few years after her comedic break as Stifler’s mom in American Pie. She starred in other popular 2000s comedies such as Best in Show (2000), Legally Blonde (2001) and its 2003 sequel, and A Cinderella Story (2004). Coolidge had a role in The Secret Life of the American Teenager from 2008-12, and played Sophie Kachinsky in the main cast of 2 Broke Girls afterward through 2017.
Coolidge also starred in American Pie 2, American Wedding and American Reunion.
The iconic character actress struck comedy — and awards — gold for her role on The White Lotus, for which she earned an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

Eugene Levy as Noah Levenstein

Before Eugene Levy played an awkwardly overly sex-positive dad in American Pie, he had already established himself as a character comedy actor with roles in National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983) and Father of the Bride (1991). He continued afterward in films like Best in Show (2000), Dumb & Dumber: When Harry Met Lloyd (2003) and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005), in addition to his starring role in The Man (2005). Levy created the acclaimed Canadian comedy Schitt’s Creek with his son, Daniel, in 2015, in which he and his son also starred. He received two Emmys for acting and producing the series.
Levy is the only actor to have appeared in eight American Pie films: American Pie 2, American Wedding, American Pie Presents: Band Camp, American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile, American Pie Presents: Beta House, American Pie Presents: The Book of Love and American Reunion, in addition to the original. He did not appear in the 2020 spin-off movie, American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules.
He’s been married to Deborah Divine, with whom he shares Dan and actress daughter Sarah, since 1977 — and he became a grandfather in 2022.

Alyson Hannigan as Michelle Flaherty

Alyson Hannigan’s role as Michelle, Jim’s band camp-loving prom date and eventual wife, expanded in each sequel, with Hannigan reprising her role in American Pie 2, American Wedding and American Reunion. At the same time that she made the first three American Pie movies, Hannigan was starring in the popular series Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Willow Rosenberg.
The actress later found success on television again as part of the cast of How I Met Your Mother. She also has done well with voice acting, playing Claire Clancy on the animated series Fancy Nancy and Dr. Ann Possible in the Kim Possible film.
Hannigan is married to her former Buffy costar Alexis Denisof. They have two daughters.

John Cho as “MILF Guy #2”

Though John Cho’s character appears in American Pie, American Pie 2, American Wedding and American Reunion, he is credited as “MILF Guy #2” in the original film and is only finally referred to as “John” in American Wedding.
Though he portrayed a minor character in the American Pie franchise, Cho’s popularity exploded after the original film. He starred as Harold in the Harold & Kumar franchise and played Hikaru Sulu in J.J. Abrams’ rebooted Star Trek film series. His other films include Solaris (2002), Total Recall (2012) and Columbus (2017). On TV he had roles on Off Centre, Kitchen Confidential, FlashForward, Go On, Sleepy Hollow, Selfie and The Exorcist.
Cho has been married to actress Kerri Higuchi since 2006. They have two children, a son and a daughter.

Chris Owen as Chuck “The Sherminator” Sherman

Chuck Sherman lied about losing his virginity in the original American Pie, but still managed to have sway over women with with his “Sherminator” alter ego.
Chris Owen, who played Chuck, hit the jackpot of teen films in the late-’90s, appearing in Can’t Hardly Wait, She’s All That, October Sky and American Pie all in a row. He followed that success with several National Lampoon films, including National Lampoon’s Van Wilder (2002). Owen has done a few serious films as well, most notably The Mist (2007), and returned to play Chuck in American Pie 2 and American Reunion.
Except for Levy, Owen is the only actor from the original film to appear in one of the direct-to-video American Pie Presents spin-off movies, 2005’s American Pie Presents: Band Camp.

Mena Suvari as Heather

As Heather, Mena Suvari wasn’t fooled by Oz’s initial attempts to flirt with her by joining jazz choir. However, her story with Oz continues across American Pie 2 and American Reunion.
Suvari appeared as Angela in American Beauty in 1999 and reunited with Biggs in Loser (2000). While she has kept busy in film, she has had more success on television in series like Six Feet Under, Chicago Fire, South of Hell, American Horror Story: Murder House and American Horror Story: Apocalypse.
She has been married to Michael Hope, a set decorator who she had previously worked with, in 2018. They have one child, a son named Christopher Alexander.

Shannon Elizabeth as Nadia

Oh, Nadia! The Czech exchange student was the object of Jim’s affection and schemes. Jim recording Nadia undressing without her permission inadvertently leads to a viral video of him embarrassing himself while trying to hook up with her. Nadia’s host family sees the video and she’s forced to go back home to Europe before prom.
It was a breakthrough role for Shannon Elizabeth, who followed American Pie with Scary Movie (2000), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), Thirteen Ghosts (2001), a memorable cameo as “Harriet, the sexy one” in Love Actually (2003) and Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019). On TV, Elizabeth had a recurring role on That ’70s Show, starred on the UPN series Cuts and appeared on season 6 of Dancing with the Stars and Celebrity Big Brother.
Elizabeth appeared in American Pie 2 and American Reunion.
