American Horror Story Season 12 Reunites Pose Star & Ryan Murphy

American Horror Story season 12 will see creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy reunite with a star from his FX drama series Pose. Set in the ’80s and ’90s, Pose follows an ensemble cast of characters participating in ballroom culture in New York City. The series received numerous accolades and critical praise, especially for its positive LGBTQ+ representation.

According to Deadline, Murphy will reunite with Pose star Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, who has been cast in American Horror Story season 12. In Pose, Rodriguez portrayed Blanca, a trans woman with HIV who is the founder of the House of Evangelista. Rodriguez became the first trans person to win a Golden Globe in 2022, earning the award for Best Actress in a TV Drama.

Rodriguez will join a plethora of talented actors on the set of American Horror Story season 12. Subtitled Delicate, the upcoming season will see Emma Roberts, Kim Kardashian, and Matt Czuchry in leading roles. Recent American Horror Story set videos revealed Cara Delevinge will also join the cast.

American Horror Story season 12 is unique in that, unlike previous seasons, it’s based on a book, specifically Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel Delicate Condition. In a plot reversal to Rosemary’s Baby, the book follows the story of a young woman who believes otherworldly forces are trying to prevent her from getting pregnant. While American Horror Story: Delicate’s title reveals season 12’s story, there will likely be plenty of twists and turns throughout the season.

Since Rodriguez and Murphy have already worked together on Pose, it’s unsurprising he would want to reunite with such a talented star for American Horror Story season 12. While Kardashian’s casting has been met with some criticism, Rodriguez’s award-winning talent is destined to make Delicate a memorable story in the series.
