It is similar to the previous two generations, except that it has the capacity to stream content in 4K resolution and HDR. Recognizing the difference between the Fire Stick and the Fire TV

The Fire Stick media streamer has most of the same basic functions as the original Fire TV. The main difference is that the original Fire TV (which resembles a set-top box) has slightly more hardware features, including USB ports (for expandable storage), an Ethernet port and more audio options. However, the Fire Stick is not only smaller and unobtrusive, but it is, in general, cheaper.
