2017 BMW 7 Series
Triangle, VA
Completing my purchase was smooth, and I did not encounter any problems. However, when conducting my research, I want to ensure that I receive a quality vehicle as I am paying a lot of money for my purchase. I purchased a 2017 BMW 740i series- the car is absolutely beautiful with low miles and a great price. My concern is Carvana’s dishonesty in stating they conducted a 150-point inspection. Upon test driving the vehicle on the highway, I noticed some vibration and sound with the brakes. Now, keep in mind I am going from a Jaguar XJL. The BMW has a lot of bells and whistles that I was not familiar with, and I was trying to collect my bearings during the test drive.
Of course, I was within the 7-day test drive. My husband’s test drives the following morning, and he noticed that the brake fluid needed to change on the notification tab. I contacted Carvana’s warranty company and sent the care to the provided mechanic for diagnosis, in which they found the brake pads and rotors also need to be changed. Upon their inspection, with Carvana’s crappy warrant, I would have had to come out of pocket $1,400.00. Who purchases a vehicle and then would want to spend $1,400.00 to get work done?
Nevertheless, I am torn about what to do because I wanted to tell Carvana to come to pick the car up. Again, it’s beautiful, within my price range, and low miles. However, my husband spoke with a qualified BMW mechanic, was able to find the parts much cheaper himself, and had the work completed for less than half with labor.
I would have given Carvana 5-stars had they not been dishonest about conducting the 150-point inspection. I would have liked the experience to have been more enjoyable. As a precaution, I would not purchase from Carvana again and make sure that I take my business to the dealer.
