I love crossover vehicles. I did not want an SUV like the X5. I first was considering the X6, but getting all the options/features I wanted on the X6, or wanting the M model of the X6, was too expensive.
Since BMW started producing the x4, I knew that could be an option. Having the option to upgrade to the m40i was another plus.
And then when the 2019 body style of the x4 was updated, that put me over the edge. The car is bigger so, in my mind, it’s much closer to the size of x6. However, because of the cheaper price tag, I was able to get it fully loaded, even on the m40i model. And now it’s truly the ultimate driving machine. It took forever to get this car. The process itself, the unavailability of the 2018 model I wanted… & then finally 2019 came out, and first, the base models were only available.
