University of North Carolina at Charlotte – Niche

I am currently a sophomore at UNCC and am having a pretty great time! The professors are really caring and do a great job here. If you are worried I usually use RateMyProfessor as a way to choose which professor I want for a certain course. They are usually honest and helpful remarks that allow you to see what current students are saying and how they feel about a professor and or the course. I love this campus and the abundance of resources you can get here. They have so many opportunities for you to get involved, get free stuff, and have a great time. You, however, must put yourself out there in order to enjoy these things. Our school is a PWI so it does lack diversity which can be a bit saddening for a person of color trying to navigate around. But, they are growing in this area and I have had the privilege of making friends from a variety of cultures as well. Again, you have to seek these people out and join clubs of like-minded or people like to look like you.
