In the weekend: có “the”

Dùng để nhấn mạnh ngày chính của dịp lễ. (on New Year’s Eve – đêm giao thừa)
On the weekend: có “the”Dùng để chỉ khoảng thời gian ngắn chỉ kéo dài vài tiếng. (at night, at noon,…)

Dùng để chỉ cả dịp nghỉ lễ kéo dài. (at Christmas, at Easter)
At weekend: không có “the”
