“The American Dream” – World’s Longest Limo

A 100-foot-long Cadillac made in the United States is the longest car in the world, recently entering the Guinness Book of World Records.

The limousine, dubbed the “American Dream”, can carry over 75 people, has 26 wheels, and can be driven from both ends.

“The American Dream” is 30.54 m (100 ft 1.50 in) long and the record was achieved by Michael Dezer (US) at Dezerland Action Park in Orlando, Florida, USA, on 1 March 2022.

The limo was restored from the parts of the original record-breaking vehicle.

The impressive car has a jacuzzi, a mini-golf course, a heliport, TVs, a refrigerator, and even a swimming pool, according to Daily Mail.

The limousine was first built in 1986 in Burbank, California, by Jay Ohrberg and initially measured 18.28 meters long. Later, it was extended and since then it has been restored, breaking its own world length record registered in the Guinness World Record.

“The American Dream” Is a Limo Fit For A King

The supercar has the right features for a king or a president, it has unusual facilities for a car, such as a jacuzzi, a mini-golf course, a heliport, and even a diving pool.

To give you an idea of the huge limousine, let’s say that most cars measure between 3.6 and 4.2 meters.

Ohrberg’s “American Dream” was 30.5 meters long and when was abandoned behind a warehouse in New Jersey, where it had been in a state of disrepair for years.

Eventually, the car was listed on eBay, where it found a new owner named Michael Dezer, who bought it for an undisclosed amount.

He then restored it, and on March 1, 2022, the limousine was officially recognized by the Guinness World Record as the longest car in the world, breaking its old record after being enlarged by several centimeters.

Six Eldorados were conjoined during the original construction of this 26-wheeled car, conceived by Jay Ohrberg of Burbank, Calif. Originally, the vehicle had a swivel function, in order to attempt to navigate corners with more grace. It’s not clear if that feature was retained in the restoration. Its tail housed a helipad, whose surface could be used as a putting green whenever the chopper wasn’t around. In its original iteration, it also had two engines, dozens of windows, TVs, telephones, a lounge, a waterbed, a jacuzzi, and a swimming pool with a diving board.

“When I found the car it was in a very poor condition. On a scale of 1 to ten it was, I’d say, minus 1. I found the car in News Jersey, it was rotting behind a warehouse. I said “I want it!” (…) The engine was replaced, all the ties were replaced, the pool was repaired”, said Michale Manning, the owner.
