Summary

Flavonoids from the Leaf of Phyllanthus reticulatus Poir. (Euphorbiaceae)

Five flavonoids (1–5) were isolated from the leaves of EtOAc fraction of ethanol extract ofPhyllanthus reticulatus Poir., Euphorbiacea. The structures were elucidated to be kaempferol (1), kaemferol-3-O–β-D-glycopyranoside (astragalin, 2), quercetin-3-O–β-D-rutinoside (rutin, 3), quercetin-O–β-D-glucopyranoside (isoquercitrin, 4), and quercetin-3-O–α-L-rhamnopyranoside (quercitrin, 5) by MS and NMR spectroscopic data. Fingerprint analysis of the EtOAc fraction ofPhyllanthus reticulatus leaves indicated that rutin and astragalin are the major compounds and the minors are kaempferol, quercitrin and isoquercitrin.
