Both the available options are lucrative and making a decision can prove to be difficult for the students.
Working right after graduating school is an appealing option as it makes the teenagers independent and they don’t have to rely on their parents to meet their expenses. Many young people prefer to be self-sufficient and want to have their own source of income. They believe that the skills that they develop and the experiences that they have are far more useful than their academic qualification. Many people who belong to the poor section of society want their children to work as soon as they finish studying to maximize their family income. Due to ever-increasing inflation, many middle-class youth choose to work immediately after school to help support their families. Getting a job after school also cuts down the higher study expenses like loans, accommodations, tuition fees, transportation, etc which also makes it a lucrative option.
Many youngsters, on the other hand, prefer to study further in fields such as engineering, medicine, business, commerce, which are some of the most in-demand courses right now. According to them, getting a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma would be their key to getting a good job. They believe that in the highly competitive market, seeking higher education is the need of the hour. Universities assist people in expanding their horizons, honing their abilities, and preparing them to meet real-world difficulties. It will allow them to make better use of their time by preventing them from wasting time studying further. Universities and colleges only provide theoretical knowledge and not practical knowledge which is imperative for a student’s development. Furthermore, not studying further and starting working at a young age also generates revenue for the youth early in their life. Also, people who want to become artisans, entrepreneurs, etc need experience in their chosen field rather than a degree. According to a study, 40% of self-made businessmen are college dropouts.
