Scientific American Supplement
Scientific American Supplement was a weekly supplement to Scientific American Magazine that ran during the 19th and early 20th centuries. It featured new inventions, scientific discoveries, and biographies of scientists and inventors.
Publication History
Scientific American Supplement began publication in 1876, to coincide with the Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia. It continued long past then, however, and its last issue was on December 27, 1919. The first Scientific American Monthly appeared after that (see the main Scientific American entry for issues), and that then became the regular Scientific American magazine in November 1921.
