Sarah Paulson casts doubt on American Horror Story return
American Horror Story star Sarah Paulson has cast doubt on returning to the series for friend Ryan Murphy.
The secretive 11th season of AHS is in the works now, ahead of a premiere this autumn. There have been rumblings in fan circles that Paulson has filmed for the new season, but her recent comments don’t make it seem likely.
“It’s not that I’m not open to it,” she told Variety. “I’m always open to it, but I feel like I’ve been doing it for a long time, and people might start getting sick of me in that world.

“Let someone else scream and run and cry for a second. Other people can do that too! Also, my nervous system. There was a time when I was younger when I was like, ‘I can do this all night. I love it!’ Now I’m like, ‘Momma’s tired!'”
The actress also said “never say never” to taking part in more of Murphy’s American Crime Story, which won Paulson a Primetime Emmy Award for the People v. O. J. Simpson season.
FX Chairman John Landgraf confirmed earlier this year that American Horror Story season 11 will be shifting away from the format of Double Feature, which split the season into two unconnected stories.

Instead, Landgraf has revealed that season 11 will be “one subject, one story, with a beginning, middle, and an end” like some of the earlier seasons of the series.
No firm details about the cast or theme have been revealed yet, but there are plenty of rumours on social media if you’re the type who loves fan theories!
