PlayStation 5 online stock woes over? PS5 available on Amazon India and ShopatSC with offers
By Abhik Sengupta: It appears that Sony PlayStation 5 stock woes in India are over. Since its launch in November 2020, buying PS5 (digital and standard disk editions) online has been nothing short of a challenge. Customers did manage to buy the gaming console via offline stores, though they rarely got bank offers. Buying the console alone was also difficult because retailers bundled it with games, increasing the overall cost. Now, those days are gone (seemingly)!

The PlayStation 5 is available to purchase on Amazon with some bank offers. Moreover, the console will be delivered to you in less than a week and not weeks or months, as the listings suggest. The digital and standard disk editions of PS 5 are also listed on Amazon’s official Sony stores, meaning you get a warranty and other post-sales services. We still advise you to check the seller’s ratings before the purchase.
Sony PlayStation 5 prices on Amazon
The PS5 digital edition carries a starting price tag of Rs 39,990, while the standard disk edition costs Rs 49,990. If you’re an Amazon Prime member with an Amazon Pay ICICI Bank credit card, then you’re eligible for 5 per cent cashback (Rs 1,999 and Rs 2,499, respectively). Otherwise, HSBC card credit holders will get up to Rs 250 cashback.
Amazon also promises a 7-day replacement in case of “physical damage, defective, or wrong and missing item.” The company notes that it would need you to submit proof of issue to verify your request. Inside the package, users will get the console, a dual-sense controller, an HDMI cable, an AC power cord, USB-A to USB-C cable, and a console stand. If you want a second dual-sense controller, it would cost Rs 5,389 on Amazon.
Sony PS5 at ShopAtSC
If you want to buy the PS5 console from the official seller, customers can head to the ShopAtSC website. The PS5 digital and standard disc editions are available to buy for the same prices. The official Sony site is also offering “easy EMI” payment options. Sony also promises delivery within a week (at least for our pin code in New Delhi).
Both variants of the PS5 are available in a white and black finish, and features are almost identical except for a key difference. The digital edition does not have a slot for discs. Otherwise, you can get a PS Plus subscription in India to enjoy a host of games. There are three tiers — essential, extra, and deluxe. Their annual prices are set at Rs 2,999, Rs 4,999, and Rs 5,749, respectively.
