Naomi Grossman is unrecognisable as Pepper in American Horror Story

Beautiful actress Naomi Grossman is unrecognisable in her phenomenal on-screen transformation as Pepper in American Horror Story.

Popular TV series American Horror Story brings to life our deepest, darkest nightmares with some of television’s most fascinating characters. And perhaps one of the most memorable narratives of the show, which began in 2011, is the story of Pepper.

The now-beloved character, who suffers from neurodevelopmental disorder Microcephaly, is played by the supremely talented actress Naomi Grossman.

Pepper’s appearance is definitely unique and she is known for her quirky smile and single tuft of hair tied neatly tied in a bow.

The 40-year-old actress, who in real life is stunning with her bold features, had no qualms in embodying the intriguing character. Naomi wouldn’t let her personal vanity get in the way from becoming Pepper in the Emmy Award-winning show.

“I’ve never been told I was so pretty until I played the ugliest person on TV. But now I have a twin!” The actress recently revealed.

Speaking to People, Naomi admitted she wasn’t scared about shaving her hair – in fact she found it empowering.

“I wasn’t anxious to have my head shaved, by any means, but now that I’ve done it, it’s not really a big deal,” the star quipped.

“It’s an empowering feeling. I definitely never thought I’d have male attention again but that’s certainly not the case. Probably quite the opposite. Confidence is attractive to anyone, and there’s nothing like walking around with a bald head – a woman, that is – exuding confidence.”

Pepper first appeared in the second series of Ryan Murphy’s hit show before returning for its fourth installment.

Speaking of the misunderstood and at times violent character, Naomi said: “I think she’s a team player and she goes along with the group. If anything, if she gets involved in something that might be referred to as aggressive, it’s probably because she’s being steamrolled by the others. I’d call her playful. Playful and innocent.”

We take a look at Naomi’s phenomenal on-screen transformation, who became unrecognisable for her role.
