For the number of schools until the end of the 2018 school year, there were 2 universities, 1 junior college, 19 senior high schools (including vocational senior high schools), 30 junior high schools (excluding the junior secondary education of the six-year high school), and 114 elementary schools. 
The number of university students was 12,462 with 397 faculty and staff members; the number of junior college students was 6,425 with 204 faculty and staff members; the number of senior high school students was 16,770 with 1,702 faculty and staff members; the number of junior high school students was 14,967 with 1,319 faculty and staff members; the number of elementary school students was 27,778 with 2,983 faculty and staff members; and the number of kindergartens was 180 with 12,027 students and 1,648 faculty and staff members.
In terms of the data of public library books, the total number of collected volumes until 2018 was 1,246,123, including 1,234,681 volumes in Chinese language, 11,442 volumes in foreign languages, 1,537 kinds of journals, and 2,039 collected e-books; the number of people borrowing books was 236,475, and 1,224,634 volumes were borrowed.
