Melt at Night

Melt at Night is about poor Tomoki, who keeps getting dumped by his girlfriends. He’s a meek salaryman who is afraid of sex. One night, he is drunk and falls asleep in front of his front door. He is awoken by Haru, a call boy who ended up at the wrong address. Sensing Tomoki’s shyness, Haru offers to teach him like the “sex pro” he is. But after a couple more “teaching” visits where Haru is refusing Tomoki’s money and things start to feel more like they are dating, both men become emotionally confused.

I really loved Tomoki! He’s so vulnerable and sweet, and it’s nice to watch him gain confidence in the rest of his life while his relationship with Haru grows. I have a soft spot for those blushing buff ukes.
I liked Haru most of the time. (There is an uncomfortable scene of dubcon that made me mad at him.) But I feel like he sincerely cares about Tomoki from the beginning. And by the end, they are both communicating their feelings so much better.
I would have loved to keep reading about these two as a couple. But this was great for a one-shot, too.
