Kid reviews for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

I’ve played one game with my Mom in this series and it was absolutely amazing. Although, when I bought this one for myself later, I didn’t get what I expected.
This, and I’ll be honest, is my most regrettable purchase I’ve ever made.
It was on sale for half off when I bought it with my money. So, priced at 60, usually, I got it for 30.
I’ll go over main mechanics:
All of the events (Modern and retro)
Story Mode (Where a player would probably spend most of their time)
And online (where there’s literally no body.)
It is boring, and what’s even worse is that.
The motion controls suck.
If you want to enjoy the game ALWAYS USE BUTTONS. If you can’t, I’d suggest one joycon. NEVER USE BOTH OR YOU’RE GOING TO TO GET FRUSTRATED. I’ve learned it the hard way.
With this title, they removed stats entirely (which was one of the main things for choosing a character), which they replaced with “better with xxxxx” and whatever. While it provides a bit more ease for new players, makes it frustrating for old players. And honestly, it feels like there’s less events… Huh
Story Mode is pretty basic. Sonic and Mario are going for the Olympics, Bowser and Eggman are scheming a plan, get all of them in trouble inside a retro game thing, and now Tails and Luigi are trying to save the day. I’m going to say that the character graphics are good, but need more emotion. Sometimes, the characters just feel bland and the player wants to get through the dialogue to get to the mini game.
In conclusion? Don’t get the game. Unless you really want to. If you do, get it dirt cheap.
