Kamen Rider Amazons Season 2 Debuts in April
The official Twitter account of the Kamen Rider Amazons web series revealed a trailer for the series’ second season on Tuesday. The trailer reveals the new characters Chihiro (Kamen Rider Amazon Neo) and Iyu (Karasu Amazon). Yō Maejima plays Chihiro, while Ayana Shiramoto plays Iyu.
Kōta Miura, Yoshito Momiki, Eiji Akaso, Kairi Miura, and Shōhei Dōmoto will also join the cast. Hidenori Ishida and Ryūta Tasaki are directing the series.
The new season will debut on Amazon Prime instant video in Japan on April 7.
Taro Kobayashi will return to perform the series’ theme song “DIE SET DOWN.”
The 13-episode first season debuted last April on Amazon Prime instant video in Japan, and streamed a new episode weekly. It premiered on BS Asahi and Tokyo MX last July.
Tom Fujita stars in the series as 20-year-old Haruka Mizusawa/Kamen Rider Amazon Omega, and Masashi Taniguchi (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni live-action film) co-stars as 38-year-old Jin Takayama/Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha. Haruka has a weak body and stays inside all the time, spending his days feeding his tropical fish. Jin is an Amazon who also hunts other Amazons. The story focuses on two contrasting Kamen Rider Amazons. Additionally, Rena Takeda plays 17-year-old Mizuki Mizusawa, who is Haruka’s younger sister-in-law; and Ayu Higashi plays 25-year-old nanaha Izumi, Jin’s partner.
