The Indian Express epaper

In 1991, after the death of proprietor Ramnath Goenka, his family divide the group into two businesses. Initially, both groups shared the Indian Express Newspaper title, in addition to editorial and other sources.

But on 13 August 1999, the northern variations, headquartered in Mumbai, retained the Indian Express moniker, while the southern variations became The New Indian Express. Today, both companies and newspapers are separate entities.

About the epaper Indian Express

Congress member P Varadarajulu Naidu, publishing from exactly the identical press where he conducted the Tamil Nadu Tamil weekly. But soon, due to financial difficulties, he offered it to S. Sadanand, creator of The Free Press Journal, yet another English paper.

Office in Madurai and started the Tamil daily Dinamani on September 11, 1934. Sadanand introduced several innovations and decreased the cost, but later sold part of his bet in the kind of convertible debentures into Ramnath Goenka because of financial difficulties. When The Free Press Journal farther went to financial decline in 1935, Sadanand lost possession of Indian Express following a long controversial court battle with Goenka, where blows were traded.

Finally, a year later, Goenka purchased the remainder of the 26 percent stake from Sadanand and the newspaper came under his control, who took the anti-establishment tone of the newspaper to greater heights. From the late 1930s, the flow was no longer than 2,000.
