Hotels Near Mekong Express In Siem Reap – 2023 Hotels | Trip.com

We stayed at „Five Senses“ in Siem Reap for four nights in February 2023. The hotel is brand new and has just opened. It is on a quiet side street, but not far from the night market and Pub Street (5-10 minutes’ walk). Close by are some excellent and well-frequented restaurants, which were recommended to us by the hotel owner (Bruno). The hotel makes a modern and clean impression with a nicely designed pool area and a decent range of different breakfast options (breakfast was included in our room rate). There was also a wide selection of inexpensive cocktails, but we didn’t try them. We had chosen the cheapest room (room number 102), which is on the ground floor behind the reception. The room is very large, nicely furnished, has air conditioning and a fan, refrigerator, a well-stocked minibar and a large shower and a separate bathroom, although we had the best shower so far on our month-long trip (warm water and decent water pressure). There is also some storage space, but no hooks and only very few hanger to hang wet clothes or towels. Room number 102 is next to the kitchen and the breakfast area, which is why there’s often a lot of noise in the morning. Unfortunately, there was no other room in this price range, which is why we fitted our ear plugs in the morning. Ear plugs are highly recommended for light sleepers in this room. The other (more expensive) rooms are on the upper floors and are likely to be very quiet. Room cleaning is available upon request and is not included in the room rate. The hotel works with a local tuktuk operator for various excursion options, who will chauffeur you to the numerous sights around Siem Reap at fair prices. We can highly recommend this offer especially for the two-day visit to the many temples in Angkor. We were traveling with To in Angkor and he was extremely helpful and attentive.
