What Does the DS Amazon Quick View Chrome extension Do?
DS Amazon Quick View is a product research Chrome browser extension with both a free and paid version.
From the name itself, it offers a “quick view” into details of products while on search results pages. This way, you won’t have to open listings one by one, making it convenient for both sellers and buyers to use while browsing!
For each product, it displays the following metrics:
- Best Seller Ranking for Broad Category
- Best Seller Ranking for Product Category
- Remaining stock
- ASIN
- Name of Store and if the product is FBA or FBM
- If a Vendor is selling the product
You can also hover over the main image of a listing to see the Product Information, which includes product dimensions, item weight, country of origin, date first available, and more.
This information would otherwise only be accessible by clicking on the product listings. It is handy when you are looking for something specific, like a certain product dimension for example, and you don’t want to have to open tab after tab to compare the information between the listings.
DS Amazon Quick View is a lightweight and easy-to-use tool for getting a “quick view” of the competition of your current products. Or if you are thinking about entering a new niche, you can easily see how saturated the market is.

Are There Alternatives Out There?
When looking for alternatives to a certain product research tool, first, you have to think about what kind of features and metrics you feel are most important to you in making a decision for your business.
Are you just looking to compare product listings side by side? Do you need serious data to observe a sales trend to determine profitability? Do you need a tool that can take care of things on your behalf?
Each tool has strengths in different areas. Many “alternatives” have features that DS Amazon Quick View doesn’t, but they come with a monthly or annual fee.
FeatureCompare
The FeatureCompare Browser extension adds a tab on your browser that displays detailed comparison information for however many products you want to compare — all on one page!
You will see the differences in:
- Product dimensions

- Customer ratings
- Shipping information
- Sold By (seller’s store name)
- Available coupons
- Product features, and a lot more.
Having it all viewable on one page saves you time from comparisons across multiple pages and crowding tabs on your browser.
Knowing these tools that potential customers can use will help you understand the information that they will look at when making their purchasing decisions. This way, you can make sure you are filling out all the fields on your product listings to give them as much information as possible.

One may be surprised to find out that this is a product research tool that also incorporates Walmart and Alibaba aside from Amazon.
So if you’d like to view where you can source your products and compare yourself to the competition on another marketplace, this is a good Chrome extension for you!
Helium 10 organizes their extension into 7 different tools:
- Xray – Product research
This allows you to view Total Revenue, Average Revenue, Average BSR, Average Price, and Success Score for a list of products under a given keyword.
- ASIN Grabber
- Profitability Calculator
- Inventory Levels
- Review Insights
- Alibaba Supplier Finder
- Demand Analyzer

SellerApp
Although very similar to the others, SellerApp’s Chrome extension has a few small differences from their competition which we will get into later.
Like the others, SellerApp allows you to view:
- Average price
- Average sales
- Average sales rank
- Average Reviews
- Opportunity Score
- Product keywords
- Profit Calculator
- Listing Quality
- Product alerts (for things such as pricing, listing quality, BSR, reviews, and more)
- Price and Review trends history
However, SellerApp also allows you to view Regular items from Sponsored items and labels Prime sellers.
One great feature that SellerApp has is that it allows you to choose specific items to include in a comparison tracker, whereas many of the other tools only show a full list of products in search results under a given keyword.
Conclusion
Having a time-saving tool that actually makes a big impact in a business is always useful to install.
Otherwise, sellers may do improper research, because it can be a very tiring process. They may rush the research process or give up altogether, which is a missed opportunity to see how product listings can be improved — or see what kind of new niches can be entered!
