Disappointed with new Microsoft Store Ads – Microsoft Q&A

Microsoft announced this new Store Ads feature which was supposed to help Store App developers increase their visibility and downloads.

Well, I have tried it and the results are disappointing. Impressions don’t even start unless the bid is well over $1. How is that justified when most of the Apps are priced below $10 or even $20? After losing some initial money trying it at that bid price, in the last few weeks, I kept it at 60 cents and there are no impressions at all!

If Microsoft bigwigs who introduced these ads think that it is helping the developers in any way then please let them know that it is hopeless for most of the apps in the price range below $10. One can not even test the ROI because no impressions means no clicks. I think at that bid level of over $1, most of the Microsoft Store App developers will just lose money even trying to get it started.

I hope someone responsible from Microsoft takes this feedback to the team that launched store ads.

If any Microsoft Store App developer is reading this and has used these new Store Ads profitably, please share your experience with the some data on the range of bids, impressions, ROI etc. that work.
