 Angie Reed

Angie Reed served as an educator for 28 years, including several years as an 8th grade Special Education teacher at LPS before retiring in May 2013. A resident of Liberty for 20 years, Angie is an active member of St. James Catholic Church, where she has taught 5th grade religious education for the past 18 years, along with working with confirmation candidates. Angie considers herself passionate about all aspects of education, especially professional development, curriculum, and preparation of students for life after graduation. She served a total of four years on the LPS committee, Team Liberty, while a teacher in the district. She has also been a member of the district committee, Vision 20/20, for the past two years. Angie received her Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education and Special Education (K-12) from Eastern Kentucky University and her Master’s Degree in Secondary School Administration from the University of Central Missouri. Her reason for serving on the Board includes her background in the classroom that provides her with a unique perspective that will be helpful as the Board continues to move forward with the multiple initiatives that are currently underway at LPS. Angie is married to husband, Randy, and has two daughters, Danielle and Kelley, both LPS graduates.
