Brilliant car! Very spacious when using as a five seater with two isofix car seats on the back row still allowing space for using the middle seat. The third row is only usable for children and I wouldn’t recommend for daily use. When grandparents are visiting or I have extra children to collect, the car is perfectly adaptable. The size makes it very easy to park and manoeuvre in narrow streets.
A decent seven seater without the look of an MPV.

The third row of seats is barely usable, access to it is shitty and they decrease the size of the boot to nothing. 2nd row of seats is ok, but with standard isofix seats the legs of my 3 years old are jn the back of the driver’s seat. 216d has a too weak engine and the automatic gearbox kills all responsiveness. Bmw built a 7seater with a 4meter and a half car, failing at delivering anything useful inside. They called it “grand” but it is not so that leads to the only advantage of this car as an inadequate 7seater, it is small, hence easy to park closer to your proper 7seater and transfer the kids in the other car you really want.
