Apple TV+

Apple TV+ is a streaming service option you can add and bill to your T-Mobile account to help simplify and consolidate your wireless and streaming services into a single billing experience.

 

About Apple TV+ 

  • Apple TV+ is available nationwide and features new, exclusive original series, movies and documentaries from today’s most imaginative storytellers.
  • An Apple TV+ subscription can be shared among up to six family members.

  • You must have an Apple ID to use Apple TV+. You can use your existing Apple ID when you add Apple TV+ to your T-Mobile account to keep your settings and history.

Add or redeem Apple TV+

Read me first

Before getting started, make sure that:

  • You have a T-Mobile ID​.
  • You are a Primary Account Holder (PAH) or Authorized User. 
    • If someone other than the PAH attempts to redeem with Apple, Apple will send the PAH a One-Time PIN for verification.  
    • If there is no PAH designated on the account, the oldest phone number will become the designated phone number.
  • You do not already have an Apple TV+ feature added to your account.
  • If you’ve recently ported a number to T-Mobile, wait for the port-in to complete for the best experience.
  • If you already have an Apple TV+ account, make sure the correct information auto-populates during the redemption process.
  • If you don’t have an Apple TV+ account, you can create one during the redemption process.

 

Choose an option to add or redeem

 

Add, redeem, or check activation status via T-Mobile.com or the T-Mobile app

 

  1. Log in to your T-Mobile account or the T-Mobile app using your T-Mobile ID.
    • T-Mobile app: Select Account ADD-ONS on any of the lines, then select Plan Details (at the top). Scroll down and select Manage Data & Add-ons.
    • T-Mobile.com: Select View details for any line on the account, then select the line under Lines and Devices. Select Manage Add-Ons under the Active Add-Ons section
  2. Go to Services and choose the Apple TV+ and select Continue
  3. Choose when you want to activate. If you select the next bill cycle, an order confirmation page will include the next bill cycle date when you can complete activation.
  4. Review the summary and select Agree & Submit
    • If you are eligible for and select a promotional feature, the Cost Summary will show the price after the promotion ends and will mention taxes. 
    • The order confirmation/details page displays.  
  5. Select the Apple TV+ service to activate. 
    • You can only select one service at a time to activate. 
    • Once service is activated, a green indicator will appear next to service (can take up to 24 hours to update on screen). 
  6. Select Start Activation
    • A text message will be sent to the primary account holder to confirm the addition of the feature to the account with an Apple TV+ registration link. 
    • If no primary account holder is set, the text message will be sent to the designated first line on the account.   
  7. One of the following will happen depending on your device: 
    • iOS device
      1. When your device launches the Apple TV+ app, select Activate Apple TV+.
      2. Enter/verify your mobile number. A Subscribed to Apple TV+ confirmation displays. 
    • Web browser or Android device
      1. When the device browser launches the Apple TV+ web page, select Activate Apple TV+. A welcome page displays. 
      2. Select Sign in (If you don’t have an Apple ID, you will need to create one from this page). 
      3. Enter or verify your mobile number. A Subscribed to Apple TV+ confirmation displays.
  8. When the browser launches the Apple TV+ web page, select Activate Apple TV+. The Welcome to Apple TV+ page is displayed. 
  9. Select Sign In.
    • New Apple TV+ user: Create an Apple TV+ account.   
    • Existing/previous Apple TV+ user: Enter username/password.  
  10. Enter or verify your mobile number.  A confirmation page displays.

 

 

Redeem from Text message (SMS) or Email

 

When you add Apple TV+ to your account, an Apple TV+ redemption text message or email is sent immediately to your account so you can activate your service.

  1. Select the link in the text message.
  2. Select Start Activation
  3. One of the following will happen depending your device: 
    • iOS device
      1. iOS device launches the Apple TV+ app.
      2. Select Activate Apple TV+, then enter or verify your mobile number. A Subscribed to Apple TV+ confirmation displays. 
    • Web browser or Android device
      1. Device browser launches the Apple TV+ web page
      2. Select Activate Apple TV+. A welcome page displays. 
      3. Select Sign in (if you don’t have an Apple ID, you will need to create one from this page). 
      4. Enter or verify your mobile number. A Subscribed to Apple TV+ confirmation displays.
  4. When the browser launches Apple TV+ web page, select Activate Apple TV+. The Welcome to Apple TV+ page is displayed. 
  5. Select Sign In.
    • New Apple TV+ user: Create an Apple TV+ account.   
    • Existing/previous Apple TV+ user: Enter your username/password.  
  6. Enter or verify your mobile number.  A confirmation page displays.

 

 

Redeem as a T-Mobile for Business or Sprint customer

 

New and existing T-Mobile for Business w/SSN customers billed through either T-Mobile or Sprint are eligible for Apple TV+ On Us via promotion code (T-Mobile for Business customers who opened their account with a Tax ID are not eligible.

 

  1. Eligible T-Mobile for Business and Sprint customers can redeem by visiting https://www.promotions.t-mobile.com/apple. 
  2. Enter your T-Mobile for Business / Sprint phone number and select the promotion. 
  3. Select Continue. After successful submission, you will see a link on the screen that will redirect you to redeem with Apple. 

 

 

Apple TV+ subscription & billing

  • Your subscription is managed through T-Mobile.
  • T-Mobile acts as the method of payment for your Apple TV+ membership each month.
  • If you remove Apple TV+ from your account, T-Mobile will immediately stop being your method of payment.
  • To check the status of your Apple TV+ promotion:
    • Promotion added via T-Mobile account: 
      1. Log in to your T-Mobile account or the T-Mobile app using your T-Mobile ID.
        • T-Mobile app: Select Account ADD-ONS on any line, then select Plan Details. Scroll down and select Manage Data & Add-ons.
        • T-Mobile.com: Select View details for any of the lines on the account, then choose the line under Lines and Devices. Select Manage Add-Ons under the Active Add-Ons section.
      2. Scroll down to Services and select the Apple TV+ option. A warning message appears about feature conflict. 
      3. Click Agree to proceed, then scroll down and click Continue
      4. Click Agree & Submit to remove the current option and add new subscription. Order confirmation appears.
    • Promotion added via coupon/code: Log in to the Apple TV+ app and go to Profile > Manage Subscriptions > Apple TV+.

T-Mobile supports

Contact T-Mobile​ if you need help with:

  • Adding or removing Apple TV+
  • Getting a new Apple TV+ redemption text message
  • Cancelling the trial version immediately
  • T-Mobile plan, billing, & account management 
  • Basic network or hardware troubleshooting

 

Cancelling

  • If you cancel your T-Mobile account, you will immediately lose your Apple TV+ membership. T-Mobile will no longer be your Apple TV+ method of payment and you will need to subscribe to Apple TV+ directly to continue your membership.
  • If you cancel your Apple TV+ subscription through T-Mobile, the cancellation will be future-dated and you will still have access to your service to the end of the billing cycle.
  • Log in to the T-Mobile App, My T-Mobile, or contact T-Mobile customer service to remove Apple TV+ from your account.
    1. Log in to your T-Mobile account or the T-Mobile app using your T-Mobile ID.
    2. Go to the Manage Add-Ons page:
      • T-Mobile.com
        1. Under the I want to box, choose Manage add-ons.
        2. Select Account > Manage Add-ons.
      • T-Mobile app: Select Account, Plan & Usage Details, Manage Data and Add-ons
    3. Deselect the Apple TV+ feature and choose Continue.
    4. Review the order. A warning message appears: ‘Once removed this offer will no longer be available through T-Mobile’. 
    5. On the Review your order page, select Agree & submit
      • Apple TV+ trial feature will no longer appear for selection
      • Cancellation of Feature will show under Manage Data and add-ons
