Apple Listen Up, This Is How Your Upcoming iCar Should Look

It’s been almost a decade since word got out that Apple was to move into the automotive industry by developing the commonly dubbed iCar. Along the way, there have been some setbacks for the tech giant. Its plans for its initial foray into the world of motoring have gone through some changes but the latest information available is that the highly anticipated electric car will hit the roads in 2026.

In anticipation of its release, HotCars digital artist Timothy Adry Emmanuel has drawn up a collection of digital renders of what Apple’s first car might look like.

Making Apple’s Car Of The Future A Reality

Apple has shrouded the so-called “Project Titan” in secrecy from day one. The tech giant has guarded most of the information on the iCar, which has led to speculation on its development and styling. Despite the clandestine process, we do know that several former Tesla and Ford employees have contributed to the project, so the iCar will have a solid foundation.

We also know it will be all-electric and at least semi-autonomous. It could revolutionize the approach to car designs and if Timothy’s renders are anything to go by, the Apple Car could be one of the coolest rides available to drivers in the coming decade.

Designing The Dream Apple iCar

Timothy has given the car a sleek fastback design that looks like it could stealth its way under the radar. Having no intake grille gives the car a smooth front end which then integrates seamlessly into the headlights.

Along the side, the styling is minimal with no visible door handles and a tasteful side skirt. There are no side mirrors on this Apple iCar design which hints that Timothy considers this to be a fully autonomous vehicle, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility for the real thing in 2026. Camera technology could also replace the mirrors if the occupants want to drive. The finishing touches to the side profile of this iCar are black machined face wheels.

Conceptualizing A New Driving Experience With The Apple Car

This Apple iCar render comes with a panoramic roof that offers the driver and passengers a full range of visibility. The roof also separates along its center and allows the front section to pivot upward and the rear to retract to offer the occupants plenty of space to climb in and out. The four doors have a swing sliding system and open by moving them horizontally over the front and rear wheel arches to provide maximum accessibility.

There is a futuristic feel to the interior of this Apple Car concept with elegant seats housing white cushioning and chrome highlights. Gone is the dashboard that drivers have become accustomed to. This provides extra legroom and space for huge curved Apple infotainment screens.

The Apple Car’s Price And Performance

This digital render offers the driver luxury, technology, and comfort, but there is also performance to consider. This is another area that Apple has kept mostly quiet about over the last decade and we can only speculate what’s under the hood of this futuristic machine.

The 1,020-hp electric motor from the Tesla Model S Plaid would give the Apple Car all the power to match its majestic exterior. A more subtle option might be Porsche’s 750-hp motor from the Taycan Turbo S.

As for how much the Apple Car would cost, there is no official price as of yet. However, one Apple leaker indicated that they are aiming to put it on the market for around $100,000, putting it in direct competition with the Tesla Model S. If that’s accurate, there will be no shortage of takers.

Speculation on the iCar will continue until it is officially unveiled. For now, we can feast our eyes on these renders and dream of what might be in store.
