American Ninja Warrior Champion Daniel Gil Hosting Ninja Warrior Camp at Immanuel Church This Week
Immanuel Church in Lansdale launched their Ninja Warrior
Camp Monday, which will continue until Aug. 5 from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. with seven-time
National Finalist and 2020 Champion of American Ninja Warrior Daniel Gil.
It is an action-packed week where kids will participate in
ninja warrior-themed activities including the obstacle training course, warped
wall, spider wall, and salmon ladder. Kids who’ve completed kindergarten
through sixth grade are eligible to participate.
“To have this platform myself, I get to encourage young
people to follow their heart, follow their dreams, follow the things that God
puts inside of them to pursue, but also tell them that in this world, we will
have obstacles like we don’t always win,” Gil, who hosted the 2019 event, said
in a video uploaded on the website. “Sometimes we fall, sometimes we get wet,
but I get to show them what it looks like to go through that on television and
get back up and not quit, like exemplify what it looks like to keep your head
up high even when things don’t go the way you want.”
Extreme Ninja Warrior is for kids who’ve completed sixth
grade through completion of 10th grade who want to experience ninja
warrior on a different level. They can run the ninja warrior training obstacle
course, warped wall, and spider wall with Gil. The Extreme Ninja Warrior will
begin Aug. 2 until Aug. 4 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Registration is open for both participants and volunteers on
their website. There is a
$50 registration fee for participants for both events. Sibling discounts for three-plus
children per family can be applied at checkout. All participants will receive
an Immanuel Ninja Warrior Camp t-shirt.
Each participant must have a parent/legal guardian sign a
liability form before they run the course, which is available on their website and will also be available
at the registration tables.
