American Association of Orthodontists cancels its 2020 meeting
The American Association of Orthodontists has announced the cancellation of its Annual Session, scheduled to take place later this spring in Atlanta. “Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we have made the difficult but important decision to cancel the AAO Annual Session, originally scheduled for May 1-4, 2020,” the AAO announced today on its website.
According to the AAO, those who have registered for this year’s event will automatically receive a refund for registration fees and special events within 60 days.
For those who have further questions about the meeting’s cancellation, the AAO has a FAQ page, posted here.
Founded in 1900, the AAO is the world’s oldest and largest dental specialty organization. It represents nearly 19,000 orthodontist members throughout the United States, Canada and abroad. The association encourages and sponsors key research to enable its members to provide the highest quality of care to patients, and is committed to educating the public about the need for, and benefits of, orthodontic treatment.
