Amazon.com: Still Open All Hours Series 6 [DVD] [2020] : Movies & TV

Still Open All Hours (2013-2019) is a British sitcom created for the BBC by Roy Clarke, starring David Jason & James Baxter, which ran for 41 episodes across six series. It is the sequel to the sitcom Open All Hours, which both Clarke and Jason worked on throughout its 26-episode run from 1973 to 1985. Overall, I gave seasons 1 & 2 five stars; season 3 three stars; season 4 five stars; & seasons 5 & 6 four stars. Here are the pros & cons for season 6 as I see it, I hope this helps you.
Pros:
1. Beth played by Katie Redford & and Ruby played by Sophie Willan were nice & I would say needed additions to the cast
2. Good British humour
3. Very good acting overall
4. My favourite character is Gastric played by Tim Healy; I am always prepared to laugh when he appears
5. Subtitles are an available choice if you like or need them
Cons:
1. I find the characters of Mrs. Featherstone & Eric Agnew are boring to me & don’t add humour to the story, I wish they had never gotten rid of Mrs. Featherstone by the end of season 2
2. I think they could have done a better job with the last episode of the series for a finale
3. Even though it is not a problem for me, make sure you are buying DVDs that will work with your region of player or buy an all-regions player
