Amazon Handmade and Stacey Solomon launch a new pocket money range for Mother’s Day
Amazon Handmade has today announced the launch of a new Pocket Money Range; a selection of unique, handmade and personalised gifts, all for less than £7. The dedicated range includes bath products, homeware, jewellery, stationery, and more, all for less than the average weekly pocket money in the UK.
Today, TV presenter and mum-of-four, Stacey Solomon launched the Pocket Money Range at the Amazon Handmade pop-up in London’s Soho. The pop-up is free to attend and open from 10am-8pm on the 9th and 10th March. Visitors to the pop-up will be able to shop the new Mother’s Day collections and try their hand at making unique, personalised gifts, with the help of the skilled artisans who sell on Amazon Handmade. As well as bookable sessions, there are a range of creative workshops to drop into across the two-day event, and these spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with all workshops free to attend.
“I’ve always shopped for special presents on Amazon Handmade, so I’m really excited to help launch the new Pocket Money Range, Stacey commented, adding that “I love that kids can get involved with choosing something for their mums this year, rather than a partner or parent remembering at 9pm the night before! Pocket money these days goes a lot further than when I was a kid… I used to save up my lunch money to get a chip roll.”
One of my best Mother’s Day memories was at Columbia Road Flower Market a few years ago. It was one of my favourite moments, spending time together as a family, walking along looking at all the flowers.
My ultimate relaxation is getting stuck into some arts and craft projects with the kids – it fills me with joy! Last Valentine’s Day, we made a plate for Joe with all our fingerprints on. It’s the little handmade presents that we keep forever – I have stacks of those handprint cards the kids have made at school and nursery.”
Stacey Solomon launches Amazon Handmade’s Pocket Money Range at a pop up in Soho today. The pop up is open until 8pm 10th March and visitors will be able to purchase handcrafted Mother’s Day presents and join workshops to personalise gifts with Amazon Handmade’s skilled artisans.

Amazon Handmade’s Pop-Up Event
In addition to the launch of the new range, Amazon Handmade is hosting a pop-up event in Soho, London between 10AM-8PM on the 9th and 10th of March. The pop-up will feature free masterclasses where guests can create their own macrame hanging planter or bath bomb, held by our talented crafters. The workshops can be booked in advance here.
“We’re so excited to showcase our all-natural, plastic-free, handmade bath products in the Pocket Money Range this year,” stated Anni Kriesche, director of Funky Soap Shop, “it shows that something special and handmade in the UK needn’t cost the earth. We’ll also be on hand at the Amazon Handmade pop-up in Soho on Thursday 10th March, to help customers concoct their own scents and make their own extra-special bath bombs for Mother’s Day.

“I started Funky Soap Shop 10 years ago from my kitchen, trying out hair and skincare recipes that my grandma taught me. Amazon Handmade has enabled me to take things to the next level and connect with customers around the world who want natural, handmade products.”
Stacey Solomon added, “Amazon Handmade is a great place to find Mother’s Day presents, and loads of them can be personalised – it’s lovely to discover loads of small businesses and makers from across the country.”
Amazon Handmade is helping innovative crafters and designers find a market for their goods, something supported by Samantha Riley, co-founder of Manta Makes, who stated that “I’ve always been interested in craft but I never believed that my idea to sell personalised wooden decor could be my full-time job and Amazon Handmade has helped me realise this dream. I love that they’re all handcrafted with love near my home in the New Forest and I’m delighted to be part of the Pocket Money Range this Mother’s Day.”
Vicki Kajtar, founder and creator of Fizzy Fuzzy, High Wycombe, UK commented: “I’ve always loved being creative and my background in food science goes hand in hand with my curiosity for developing new ideas and products. Amazon Handmade has helped me turn my hobby into a full-time business and I’m thrilled to be part of the Pocket Money Range to showcase what an ideal gift they make this Mother’s Day.”
