2020 AAO Annual Session – Stability: Is it an Elusive Goal?
Maturational changes are inevitable and impact the stability of orthodontic treatment results. Treatment plans mostly do not include consideration of stability; moreover, retention planning in an effort to enhance stability should start at the treatment planning stage. The attendee will be exposed to knowledge of factors impacting stability and subsequent posttreatment retention management which is essential for successful treatment outcomes.

- Evaluate why retention is an essential part of stability.
