The 2019 Hyundai Elantra is a compact car that’s been a mainstay of the Hyundai lineup since 1990, and this latest version is now part of the car’s sixth-generation. When you come across the current Elantra at a Hyundai dealer in Gloucester City you’ll find it has very attractive styling, strong turbocharged engines, impressive fuel economy, and offers buyers excellent value for money.

As well as being a model that should remind us there’s more to life than just high-riding crossovers these days, the 2019 Hyundai Elantra you’ll find at Hyundai Gloucester in six different trim levels also shows just how far the Korean brand has come in recent years. The trim levels available are the SE, SEL, Value Edition, Eco, Sport and Limited, and here’s what each model has to offer.

SE

All models apart from the Eco and Limited get the same powerplant, a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder that develops 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. The SE and the Sport are the only trims where this engine comes mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission. The entry-level SE also comes standard with remote keyless entry, a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and a six-speaker audio system with a five-inch color display.

SEL

Most Elantra models on lots are likely to be the SEL or higher. The SE tarts with the features of the SE trim and adds 16-inch alloy wheels, a seven-inch high-resolution touchscreen display audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic alert, heated side mirrors, and a driver-attention warning system with lane keeping assist.

Value Edition

The Elantra Value Edition certainly lives up to its name. This impressive model comes with standard dual-zone automatic climate control, rear-seat cup holders, heated front seats, keyless ignition, a power moonroof, a hands-free smart trunk, proximity Key entry and push-button start, and even a Hyundai app suite for the infotainment system.

Eco

The Eco model’s main attraction is a fuel-efficient 1.4-liter, turbocharged, four-cylinder engine that puts out 128 hp and 156 lb-ft of torque. This unit comes mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission and delivers fuel economy of up to 32 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.* This model adds LED daytime running lights and dual USB charging to the features found in the Value Edition.

Sport

Buyers who choose the Sport trim get the most powerful engine in the 2019 Hyundai Elantra lineup, a 1.6-liter turbo-four that delivers up to 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission. If a stick-shift isn’t to your liking, the seven-speed dual clutch is an available option. This model also gets a multi-link rear suspension and sport-tuned suspension and steering, all of which aids the Elantra’s handling and performance credentials. Other notable features include a sport front grille, a rear bumper and air diffuser, a chrome-tipped exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels, a flat-bottom steering wheel, alloy sport pedals and a black headliner.

Limited

Limited models really do look and feel like a range-topping trim should. As well as leather upholstery, heated front seats and a power driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar support, this upscale model also comes with Clari-fi Music restoration Technology, a wireless charging pad, and an Infinity premium audio system with eight speakers.
