2009 BMW 3 series

Rating applies to 2006-11 models built after November 2005

Tested vehicle: 2006 BMW 325i 4-door with standard front and rear head curtain airbags and standard front seat-mounted torso airbags

The BMW 3 series was redesigned for the 2006 model year. Beginning with 2006 models manufactured after November 2005, changes were made to the side airbags and door trim panels to improve occupant protection in side impact crashes (note: information about when a specific vehicle was manufactured is on the certification label typically affixed to the car on or near the driver door). The tested car was manufactured after the modifications had been made.
